The Shipping Agency, MARLINES S.r.l. was founded in Triest in 1977. It represented various Ship Owners covering regular routes from ports in the North Adriatic Sea to the Middle East (Lebanon and Syria), to Malta and to Tunisia in North Africa.

Over the succeeding years, due to the continuously expanding markets, Marlines transferred its offices to Porto Nogaro in 1980, and in 1985 opened a branch office in Monfalcone, setting up a freight forwarding service. Since then, our innovative system offering all-inclusive fares together with door-to door services gave rise to wide interest, further expanding and consolidating our company, which now offers a exceptionally comprehensive range of services.

We offer a full range of sea and road transportation services in association with long established companies operating in these fields, as well as providing full and slot-chartered ships together with partners of maximum reliability. Our extensive experience has resulted in time-emcient and reduced cost services as the over 6.000 associated cargo ships, and 8,0 million tons of cargo handled over the past 28 years shows. In association with our network of overseas agents we ensure constant monitoring of the progress of the shipments at all phases and are ready to solve any problems that may arise.
